The Town of Eaton has been awarded a grant of $500,000 from the NYS Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. The grant is for the development of a Community Park. The park will include an amphitheater for performances, a walking trail around the park, exercise stations, veterans’ memorial and places for farmers markets, volleyball court, picnic pavilion and restroom facilities. The Park will be located across from the Cornell Cooperative Extension building on property owned by the MECS District and will do a 99 year lease with the Town for the land.
On Thursday, April 28th 2022 at 6 pm, the Town will be hosting a meeting for town residents for a presentation on the Park Project and to get input from residents on what they might like to see included in the Park.
The Meeting will be held at the Town of Eaton building, 35 Cedar Street. Hope you can attend .
